Hello there! Alexis here :) I’m a Stage Manager and Event Manager from Iowa City, IA, and have been freelancing out of New York City for 5 years.

In my career of creative endeavors, I’ve found a deep love for music-based art forms, including theatre, dance and opera, but enjoy a variety of projects including events, and immersive and site-specific experiences. Praised for my unflappable spirit, I’m a grounded and reliable force in any workspace and keep the team on track while collaboration flourishes and creatives fly.

My New York career began as a Stage Management Apprentice at The Juilliard School for the 2021-22 academic school year. While at Juilliard, I received mentorship from well-seasoned professionals that are now my colleagues and worked on genres of live performance that I hadn’t touched before. As an Apprentice, I learned everything I wanted to and more.

I graduated from the University of Iowa in May 2020 with a B.A. in Theatre Arts with a Stage Management Focus and Certificate in Event Management. I was the proud receipt of the E.C. Mabie Scholarship – the most prestigious scholarship offered in the UIOWA theatre program. I was lucky to meet my husband, Toby, at UIOWA, and we tied the knot August 15th, 2026, on Roosevelt Island.

While not in the theatre, I love spending time with my pets, crafting, baking, reading and listening to audiobooks, eating a lot of ice cream, and learning Spanish on Duolingo (I have a 1400+ day streak)! I’m the proud mom of an adorable tuxedo cat, Cooper, and high-energy terrier mix, Rosco, who insists on sleeping under the covers each night.
